Trevell Marcelus Nurse, a 27-year-old resident of Charleston, West Virginia, was sentenced to three years and eight months in federal prison followed by three years of supervised release for his role in distributing fentanyl.
Court documents show that Nurse admitted to selling approximately 27.3 grams of fentanyl over five transactions between April 9 and September 6, 2024, all within the Charleston area. He also acknowledged arranging a sale involving 14.58 grams of fentanyl on September 3, 2024, and directing a co-defendant to deliver the drugs. On September 20, 2024, Nurse possessed both a Smith & Wesson M&P 40 M2.0 .40-caliber pistol and fentanyl for personal use.
United States Attorney Moore Capito announced the sentence and recognized the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) along with the Charleston Police Department for their investigative efforts.
The sentence was handed down by United States District Judge Joseph R. Goodwin. Assistant United States Attorney Gabriel Price prosecuted the case.
