Betsy Kelly has been appointed by Governor Patrick Morrisey to the West Virginia House of Delegates, where she will represent the 9th District. The announcement was made in Charleston.

Governor Morrisey commented on the appointment, stating, “Betsy Kelly brings to this role the values that define so many West Virginians – faith, family, hard work, and a deep connection to the land. As a rural farmer and small-business owner, she understands firsthand the opportunities and challenges facing our agricultural communities and energy-producing regions. I am confident she will be a strong voice for the people of Pleasant, Ritchie, and Tyler counties.”

Kelly’s previous experience includes serving as a Senate page under former Senator Donna Boley. She is also the daughter of John R. Kelly, who served nearly ten years representing the 10th District in the House of Delegates.
