Chad William Mullooly, a 40-year-old resident of Clarksburg, West Virginia, has pleaded guilty to distributing p-Fluorofentanyl. Court documents show that Mullooly sold both fentanyl and p-Fluorofentanyl, which is a synthetic opioid, multiple times in Harrison County.
Mullooly could be sentenced to as much as 20 years in federal prison. The final sentence will be decided by a federal district court judge who will consider the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other legal factors.
Assistant U.S. Attorney William Rhee is handling the prosecution for the government. The investigation was conducted by the Greater Harrison Drug Task Force, which receives funding from the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas (HIDTA) program. U.S. Magistrate Judge Michael John Aloi oversaw the proceedings.
