Daniel Legette, also known as “Bam,” pleaded guilty in federal court to distributing fentanyl and crack cocaine in Huntington, West Virginia. The plea was entered on February 17, 2026.
Court records indicate that on August 21, 2025, Legette sold approximately 0.65 grams of fentanyl and 0.42 grams of crack cocaine to a confidential informant. He admitted to both arranging and completing the sale.
Legette is scheduled for sentencing on May 27, 2026. He could face up to 20 years in prison, at least three years of supervised release, and a fine reaching $1 million.
United States Attorney Moore Capito announced the plea and acknowledged the efforts of the Huntington Violent Crime and Drug Task Force and the Huntington Police Department in investigating the case.
The hearing was overseen by United States District Judge Robert C. Chambers. Assistant United States Attorney Joseph F. Adams is handling the prosecution.
