Washington, DC – On June 15, U.S. Senator Joe Manchin, member of the U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee, announced $599,999 from the National Science Foundation (NSF) for an engineering education research project at West Virginia University (WVU). The project will examine various learning techniques in engineering curricula to enhance student performance and improve retention in the relevant academic fields.
“West Virginia University continues to make our state and country proud with vital research projects,” said Senator Manchin. “I’m pleased the National Science Foundation is supporting our hardworking students, faculty and staff involved with this engineering education research project, which will bolster academic success and help retain students in engineering disciplines.
