Davis & Elkins netted three goals in the second half to put Notre Dame away 4-0 in their season opener at Nuttall Field.

Bruno Rivera opened the scoring in the thirty-seventh minute off an Alex Estrada-Avila assist. The two teams combined for sixteen shots in the first half, with eight of them on goal.

D&E managed to find the back of the net on three occasions in a second half flurry. Martin Lago scored first off a Davide Materazzi assist. Dominique Castano scored the second goal of the half.

Castano’s goal came from a Kevin Zapata assist. Christhian Bozquez closed out the scoring in the eighty-seventh minute off a Soshi Fujioka assist.

Goalkeeper Beltran Fernandez turned away six shots on goal and helped lead to the clean sheet.

The tenth-ranked Senators play their next two on the road (Salem on August 31 and Concord on September 4) before returning home on Wednesday, September 7 at 7pm against the second-ranked University of Charleston.
