Demonte Jovon Walker, also known as “DJ,” was sentenced on Apr. 6 to one year and three months in prison for distributing 50 grams or more of methamphetamine, with five years of supervised release to follow. The first year of his supervised release will be served under home detention.

Walker, age 26 and from Pontiac, Michigan, admitted in court that he sold about 83 grams of methamphetamine to a confidential informant for $450 on October 24, 2024. He said he arranged the sale beforehand and conducted it inside the informant’s vehicle in Huntington.

In addition to this charge, Walker admitted selling approximately 56 grams of methamphetamine for $300 on October 2, and about 55 grams for $300 on October 17. He also arranged for another individual to sell around 50 grams of methamphetamine to a confidential informant for $300 on October 9. All transactions took place in Huntington.

United States Attorney Moore Capito announced the sentence and praised the work done by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Cabell County Sheriff’s Office during the investigation.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorneys Stephanie Taylor and Courtney L. Finney before United States District Judge Robert C. Chambers.
