The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) places significant emphasis on the input of its members when it comes to policy positions. Distinct from organizations that rely on a board of directors, NFIB allows its members to voice their opinions on pressing issues through a member ballot.

Leadership within the NFIB stresses the importance of this democratic process for forming the foundation of their advocacy efforts. “Our members tell us what issues matter most to them and their small businesses,” the NFIB states, underscoring the grassroots approach they take in influencing legislative testimony and shaping lawmakers’ voting records.

To ensure that the voices of local business owners are heard, NFIB members are encouraged to participate by accessing the state ballot through their online portal. These ballot results are regarded as the “true and only voice of small businesses in the state.” The organization hopes that policymakers will continue to appreciate and respect the valuable insights derived from this process.

Members can easily cast their votes by visiting www.NFIB.com/VoteNow, logging in with their email address, and selecting their corresponding state ballot.
