Pumpkin House 2022 Schedule & Special Events:
The full display will be up from October 28th through the night of November 2nd. Carving begins on the 22nd and we light them as we go. The display is lit 24 hours a day.

• Volunteers are needed from October 22-29: For scooping, carving and placement of pumpkins so that we can add to the display 500-600 pumpkins daily to achieve the goal of 3,000 by the night of October 28.
• October 29: The main night of C-K AutumnFest and the Pumpkin House with presentation of awards for the contests at 9:00 pm.
• November 2-5: Disassembly of the display and removal of the moldy mess!

Volunteer Information
1. Groups or individuals seeking to help or obtain community service can contact us at 304-617-3334, ricgriffith1@aol.com, or Griffith & Feil 304-453-2381. Volunteers can help any time during the day and up till midnight. Many schools send groups in the evenings.

2. Several adults are needed for supervision of the scooping process, at the tables set up for children and high school age volunteers. This task involves encouraging the young volunteers and inspecting their scooped pumpkins to ensure that they are properly cleaned out. No physical labor, just herding the kids (cats).

Local School Pumpkin Carving Competition
-Prizes will be awarded for (1.) Top 3 best carved pumpkins in the high school and middle school divisions, and (2.) Most carved pumpkins submitted by a school. The winners will be announced at 9:00 pm Saturday, October 29.
Rules:
-Submissions must be delivered to the Pumpkin House on Thursday, October 27, for judging Friday, October 28. DO NOT carve your pumpkin before October 26
-All pumpkins must be scooped with the opening cut out of the BOTTOM to allow placement over a light.
-Pumpkins must project an image when placed over the light provided.
-Props attached to the pumpkin and painting of uncut portions are allowed to supplement the effect.
-The school, teacher, and carver’s name should be written on the back with a sharpie or marker. Do not attach a note to the pumpkin with this information, because it may fall off and prevent the submission from being included. Do not write this information on the side, where it might be seen by the judges.
-Art teachers are encouraged to contact Ric Griffith (304-617-3334) for more information regarding preparation
