U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito announced her support for Brooke Rollins as the new Secretary of Agriculture. Capito expressed confidence in Rollins, citing her understanding of rural America and commitment to supporting farmers, ranchers, and growers in West Virginia.

“Brooke Rollins understands firsthand the challenges facing rural America and will work day in and day out to support our West Virginia farmers, ranchers, and growers,” said Capito. She emphasized her eagerness to collaborate with Rollins and the Trump administration on initiatives to safeguard family farms and promote American agriculture.

Capito had previously met with Rollins in December 2024 to discuss the nomination and gain insight into her plans for leading the department.
