U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.), Ranking Member of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies, on May 30 announced $14,049,085 from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) for the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources (DHHR), West Virginia University (WVU), and Marshall University. The funding will support efforts that increase lab capacity to prevent infectious diseases, protect and improve the health and well-being of school-age children in underserved communities, and support graduate psychology education programs.
