West Virginia State University went up two goals early in a Saturday road contest for Davis & Elkins and the Senators were unable to come back and fell 2-0.
D&E had previously fallen 9-3 to State at home.
D&E was able to get off twenty-two shots but managed only four shots on goal in the contest. Of the shots on goal, Madison Rose had two, while Alexa Karsel and Nao Kawasaki each had one.
The Yellowjackets' goals were goth scored by midfielder Brooklyn Pritt. The first, in the fifth minute was assisted by Fran Soares-Cupertino. In the fifteenth minute, Pritt was assisted by Paula Herold.
West Virginia State had thirteen shots and seven on goal. D&E goalkeeper, Katie Clarke turned away five shots.
D&E had five corner kicks in the contest to State's one.
The Senators fall to 6-6-1 overall and 5-6-1 in the Mountain East Conference.
D&E plays next on Wednesday at 4pm at the University of Charleston.
