The West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection’s REAP program will host a tire collection event to rid Cabell County of old tires.

The West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection’s REAP program will host a tire collection event to rid Cabell County of old tires.

The event will be held from 9 am to 4 pm Saturday, October 22. Residents may bring old tires for disposal to the Cabell County Solid Waste Authority Recycling Center, located at 800 Virginia Ave., in Huntington. You will not need a fob to enter the facility.

Residents may dispose of up to 10 tires per person with a valid West Virginia ID for Cabell County. The tires must be off the rims. Only car and light truck tires will be accepted. Haulers and businesses are not allowed to participate.
