U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito has been unanimously elected by her Senate Republican colleagues to serve as the Chairman of the Senate Republican Policy Committee (RPC). This announcement comes after she served as the Vice Chairman of the Senate Republican Conference for two years.

Senator Capito expressed gratitude towards her colleagues for their support in electing her to this leadership position. "I am grateful to my colleagues for electing me to serve on the Senate Republican leadership team as the next Chairman of the Senate Republican Policy Committee," she stated. She emphasized the responsibility that comes with a Republican-led Congress and President Trump back in office, highlighting the need to advance conservative policies within their conference.

Capito is optimistic about working in her new role, aiming to build consensus among her peers regarding conservative principles that can be implemented by Senate Republicans now in majority. "We have a tremendous opportunity in front of us following this successful election cycle, and we have the tools to meet the challenges," she said. Her commitment extends to helping lead and communicate an optimistic conservative vision for the future alongside her colleagues.
