The Davis & Elkins College Student Nurses Association (DESNA) will host its annual Michael Webb Scholarship Fund 5k Run and Walk Saturday, November 12 on the Allegheny Highlands Trail in Elkins. Registration will take place from 9-9:45 a.m. at the Highland Park bike trailhead and the event starts at 10 a.m.
The entry fee is $15 and those who preregister receive a T-shirt. There is no age limit for participation and walkers are welcome.
Proceeds will benefit the Michael Webb Scholarship awarded annually to a second-year Davis & Elkins College nursing student.
Webb was a nursing student at Davis & Elkins when he died in a car accident in 2005. A scholarship was established in his honor and is funded through the efforts of D&E nursing students.
