Smith, a 5-foot-7 Uniontown, Pa. native transferred to D&E this season from Glenville State following the Lady Pioneers' National Championship season looking to make an impact. Her gritty play caught the eyes of fellow MEC coaches.

Her points-per-game average is tenth in the MEC. She is sixth in the league in three-pointers made per game with 2.6.

D&E tips off the MEC Tournament Wednesday at 2:30 against Frostburg State at Wesbanco Arena in Wheeling.
