Manchin Announces Over $349k From Appalachian Regional Commission For Five West Virginia Projects

Washington, DC – On June 12, U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV), member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, announced $349,755 from the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) for five projects that will create economic development and opportunity in West Virginia.

“The Appalachian Regional Commission, with its continued investments in our communities and local economies, is an integral partner for the Mountain State,” said Senator Manchin. “This ARC funding will provide the resources and technical capacity required to improve the quality of life for West Virginians. As a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, I will continue advocating for resources to boost economic growth and create good-paying jobs across Appalachia.”

Individual awards listed below:

  • $100,000 – Eastern Panhandle Regional Planning and Development Council
  • $100,000 – Region VII Planning and Development Council
  • $100,000 – Region 2 Planning and Development Council
  • $25,000 – Tamarack Foundation
  • $24,755 – Little Kanawha Area Development Corporation
