U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito from West Virginia has released a video message to wish her constituents a Merry Christmas. In her message, she emphasized the importance of reflecting on the blessings of living in West Virginia and encouraged gratitude for various gifts in life.

"Merry Christmas, West Virginia. This is the season of peace, joy, and hope—a time to celebrate the blessings of the great state we get to call home," said Senator Capito. She highlighted the privilege of being part of "the freest and most prosperous nation on Earth" and paid tribute to those who make freedom possible, particularly "the brave West Virginians in uniform who spend the holidays far from home."

Senator Capito also expressed appreciation for first responders, law enforcement officers, and medical professionals who work during the holiday season to maintain community safety and health. She urged people to cherish their neighbors and give thanks during this time.

"This holiday season, make sure to cherish our neighbors and give thanks, and may we carry the warm spirit of Christmas into the New Year," she added. Senator Capito concluded by expressing her commitment to serving West Virginians: "I, for one, look forward to serving you and working to build a brighter future for every West Virginian."

She ended her message with warm wishes: "From my family to yours, have a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year."
