The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) has endorsed Riley Moore for the United States House of Representatives, representing West Virginia's 2nd Congressional District. The announcement took place at a campaign event held at Devil’s Due Distillery in Kearneysville, a small business owned by an NFIB member.
Gil White, NFIB West Virginia State Director, expressed support for Moore, citing his past roles as West Virginia's 25th State Treasurer and former member of the House of Delegates. "As West Virginia’s 25th State Treasurer and former member of the House of Delegates, Riley Moore has proven to be a small business ally by supporting policies that have made West Virginia a better place to do business," White stated. He added that Moore is knowledgeable about issues critical to NFIB members and understands the importance of policies that strengthen the small business economy.
Sharon Sussin, NFIB Senior National Political Director, also voiced her support: "Treasurer Moore will be a strong voice for small businesses in Congress. He has experience serving in various government offices and knows the impact government regulations have on a small business."
The endorsement was issued by NFIB FedPAC, which is funded through voluntary contributions from NFIB members beyond their membership dues. The decisions made by this political action committee are managed through grassroots evaluations driven by its members.
