Wylie McDade, a member of the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) in West Virginia and co-owner of Devil's Due Distillery in Kearneysville, appeared on "FOX & Friends" to discuss the recent State of the Union address. During his appearance, McDade highlighted the challenges faced by small businesses, particularly concerning fuel prices.

"I didn't see a whole lot about small business," McDade remarked regarding the address. He explained the difficulties caused by rising fuel costs, saying, "We struggle mostly from fuel prices because we rely so much on our just-in-time supply chains... When we started this business, (fuel prices) were in the mid-$2 range. Now, they're more than double that, and they're staying up there. They're affecting every commodity we bring in."

He emphasized the impact on Devil's Due Distillery, a production facility that depends on efficient supply chains, which he believes remain disrupted.

In addition to his TV appearance, McDade recently testified at a U.S. House Ways & Means Committee field hearing in Petersburg. He has also been featured in a national TV campaign by NFIB encouraging federal tax relief measures for small businesses.
