The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) has announced its endorsement of Riley Moore for election to the United States House of Representatives, representing West Virginia’s 2nd Congressional District. The announcement was made during a campaign event at Devil’s Due Distillery in Kearneysville, which is owned by an NFIB member.
Gil White, NFIB West Virginia State Director, commented on the endorsement by highlighting Moore's track record supporting small businesses. "As West Virginia’s 25th State Treasurer and former member of the House of Delegates, Riley Moore has proven to be a small business ally by supporting policies that have made West Virginia a better place to do business," said White. "Treasurer Moore is knowledgeable on the issues most important to our members and understands the importance of advancing policies that will strengthen the small business economy. We are confident that he will represent West Virginia well in Congress and are pleased to endorse him today."
Sharon Sussin, NFIB Senior National Political Director, emphasized the importance of Moore's experience. "Treasurer Moore will be a strong voice for small businesses in Congress," Sussin stated. "He has experience serving in various government offices and knows the impact government regulations have on a small business. We look forward to working with him."
The endorsement comes from NFIB FedPAC, the political action committee of the NFIB, which is funded by voluntary contributions from NFIB members beyond their regular membership dues. The decisions of NFIB FedPAC are determined through a grassroots evaluation conducted by its members.
