Bethany College is pleased to introduce both Dr. Jeffrey Bryson and Dr. Harwood McClerking to campus, as well as congratulate many others on their move from adjunct to full-time.
Bryson comes to Bethany from Glenville State College in Glenville, W.Va., as the assistant professor of criminal justice. Bryson received his Ph.D. in public safety with an emphasis in criminal justice from Capella University in Minneapolis, Minn. He also has a B.A. in bible and religion from Ohio Valley University (formerly College), in Parkersburg, W.Va. Bryson is a licensed counselor and therapist, has over three decades of experience, and is recognized for his many publications.
McClerking joins Bethany as the assistant professor of political science comes to Bethany from Augustana College in Rock Island, Ill. McClerking received his Ph.D. in political science from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Mich. He has taught political science for over 20 years, and is praised for his research published in over a dozen articles.
“These dedicated professors bring with them a wealth of knowledge and experience that will enrich our students’ classroom learning and provide an opportunity to collaboratively work with some of Bethany’s esteemed faculty,” says Provost and Dean of Faculty Dr. Anju Ramjee. “We have a rich tradition of ‘teaching and lifelong learning,’ and these professors will definitely empower our students and guide them in this journey.”
