Mid-Ohio Valley Region Hazard Mitigation Plan Public Survey

Belmont Residents--

Each region of our state must have a Hazard Mitigation plan in place to be eligible for mitigation money that is given out by the federal government. Millions of dollars every year flows through mitigation money, regions rely on this mitigation money to improve communities. Everything from cleaning up dilapidated homes, to acquiring LED signs for public notices, has been paid for through this money.

Currently, our Hazard Mitigation plan is expired. This means that our region is not eligible for mitigation money until our plan is up to date. It is vital that we have this plan completed as soon as possible.

Below is a link to take a survey regarding hazards in our region. (Flooding, Landslides, Wildfires, etc.) Please share this link with everyone you can.

The survey will take less than 10 minutes to complete and research shows once people realize what we are asking, they get very passionate about hazards that affect them. Please share this link anyway you can, and please take some time to fill out the survey yourself.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at 304-665-2160.
